My comments on tutoring Science : I am a highly certified teacher (with over 20 years experience) and have worked as a tutor for 15 years. I'm able to tutor all elementary and middle grade level subjects. As well, I also tutor Algebra, general science, earth science, life science, biology, and chemistry at the high school level. My philosophy is to facilitate student learning by using a progressive questioning method where the student explains what he does know and then building from there, each time questioning for comprehension. I have previously worked for an in-home tutoring service where I helped students improve their grades in various subject areas that presented difficulty. The students I have tutored in the past were either in middle or high school. I also have experience as a GED instructor, and one of the best feelings in the world is helping someone receive their GED.
