A Little Bit About Me...

I taught middle school and high school Language and Literature for two years at a private school. During that time I also tutored in the subjects of history, math, and science. I am currently working on my Masters degree in Education and have had refresher courses in the areas of study outside of my initial degree. I love working with students and have taken courses specifically in test prep.
I am an active teacher. I want students to understand the subject in the context of their own lives as opposed to just learning definitions. If they can realate the information to an actual happening, they are more likely to remember. A Little Bit About Me...

Tutoring the children over the last two years has been the most rewarding work for me. When a middle school child actually gets up, goes and gets a dictionary, and looks up the meaning, pronunciation, and spelling of a word, without having direction from me, it makes my heart sing. Never have I had that feeling before, therefore it is my goal to continue to provide any child with the best tools, a positive mindset, and forward ambition to achieve the best opportunities in life that only an education can give them.
