My comments on tutoring Guitar : I've been a guitarist for about 5 years.

I don't any paid, professional tutoring experience. However, I have volunteered my services to family members and friends. During my sophomore year, I took Organic Chemistry and excelled. However, my friends were struggling. They hated me a bit for how easy it came to me. I decided to tutor them and help them with homework assignments and studying. They ended up doing very well on the exams, allowing them to secure a 3.0 or higher in the course. I also had to regular help my classmates out with more complex problems in Physics. I was not so much tutoring as working together with them on the homework, but still, it involved clear explanation and a thorough knowledge of the subject matter.

Afterward, I like to illustrate the main parts as they relate to the whole so the student can get a full grasp of how each component fits into the big picture. Towards the end of my college career I assisted in "Community New Start" in Austin, TX which was a mentor program assisting high school children in under-privileged districts.
