I am a 12 year bilingual, veteran teacher, grades K- 12. It has lead me to my current position as a part time Adjunct ESOL Instructor for Quinsigamond Community College. Working and Advocating for students, regardless of their age, is my passion. After earning my B.F.A. from V.C.U. (magna cum laude) with double minors in art history and Italian, I moved to New York and worked in the creative, behind-the-scenes world of theatre and television. After six years of production work my husband and I moved to Rhode Island, whereupon I fell in love with teaching. For the past two years I have attended Providence College, working towards a post-baccalaureate degree in English Language Arts and secondary education certification. During my studies at P.C. A Little Bit About Me...

I recently graduated cum laude from the University of Rhode Island with two Bachelors of Science in Marine Geology and Maritime Law. I teach sailing and environmental education in the summers. This means very little however as I aspire, one day, to become a lighthouse keeper. Sadly, few can find such a position these days. I enjoy writing, science, mathematics, literature and most all music.
When I taught sailing to young kids, I used to dress up like a pirate. I have lots of energy. I know I'm doing my job right when kids start laughing. When I taught to teenagers, I kept in mind my own experiences at that age.
