A Little Bit About Me...

Recently moved from Ohio to Tennessee. For the past ten years I have taught mild to intense special needs students in a public school in grades 5-9. Three years prior to that I taught children with Severe learning disabilities in grades 4-6. Before that I taught children with severe emotional/behavioral disorders for eight years in grades K-3. A Little Bit About Me...

As a special eduation major, I was provided with various methods of teaching using adaptations and modifications to meet student's needs. I taught at the high school level for 3 years. As a requirement of the special education curriculum, I developed yearly attainable goals for each of my students with documented modifications for each area. I developed numerous activities and tasks for the students to perform in order to meet their goals for the year. The majority of my students were moderate to severely disabled, however, for the students whom I was able to teach subject areas to, I did so at the elementary level.
