I have taught 15 years in the Missouri public school system. I have taught fine arts, K-12, throughout my career. I have organized and taught an at-risk study hall, provided after school tutoring for 6th graders. I taught 6th grade mathmatics. and tutored reading after school. Teaching riding and horsemanship is what sparked my desire to teach. Before I became a teacher I worked with mentally challanged adults and was a job coach for individuals that had sustanined tramatic head injuries. I have 22 graduate hour in special education and have worked with special student in school and an institutional settings. I love to help student learn how to learn. I have had a wealth of experience in the educational field. I started out teaching in a Christian Preschool in Columbia MO 17 years ago. There I learned so much. I became state certified after I attended William Woods College in their Deaf Interpreting program. From there I worked in education as both Para Professional and Deaf Interpreting. I have worked in the Public School for eight years. I have learned so much and gained a lot of knowledge in being to help students achieve in education.
