However I am also able to provide a knowledge base in a number of subjects to help answer questions the student may be struggling with. I have always believed that each child is truly unique. I However do not believe that all education and forms of it, should be uniform. Working with children with special needs has allowed me to be able to get to know the student and adjust the curriculum so that the child will be able to benefit the most from! I like to ask questions and get the student involved. I like to get the student engaged as much as possible. I would like to observe the method in which the student obtains the most information and expound on that variable, triggering many senses for better memorization. My teaching style would consist of trying to get the student to understand what they are studying which is considerably better than just simple short term memorization. I earned a well rounded education from Western Kentucky University with a strong emphasis in math / Engineering. Since College I have pursued the Surveying field. I have recently obtained the status of Professional Land Surveyor with the State of Kentucky. I have taught young graduates surveying practices in relation to the Engineering field while in management positions. I would be very excited about teaching children.

I have earned both an AS in Science and Mathematics as well as completed all requirements for my BA in business administration with a concentration in accounting. I have volunteered at an elementary school tutoring while I was in high school. I have also tutored individuals in college level material on a private basis for compensation. My primary strength is mathematics although I am quite skilled in English as well. I have always possessed a love of helping others to learn. It brings me great joy to witness when an individual grasps a concept which they have been having difficulty with. I tend to use a demonstrator style of teaching by first working through a problem slowly while asking the student questions to ensure that they understand what I am doing. Then I help them work through similar problems while providing help until they fully grasp a concept.
