I graduated from Mount Union College in May 2006 with a BA in History and a double minor in Adoloescent to Young Adult Education and American Studies. Throughout high school I was a teacher's assistant helping with students in class during my study halls as well as working one on one with students for extra study skills. In the past few years I have tutored students in elemtary math, middle school reading and writing, and even my own students before and after school in social studies. I currently teach Civics and Economics which is an EOC course and I have taught this for 6 years now. I have a BS in Elementary Education and just completed my sixth year of teaching at the elementary level. I have experience teaching grades 2, 3 and 4, and I'm comfortable tutoring students in all aspects of the elementary curriculum up through grade 8. While in college, I tutored fellow college students for two years in biology, English and math, and I was named Outstanding Tutor in my second year.

From there, I chose to move to Massachusetts to participate in a ground breaking fellowship at MATCH Charter Public High School. I chose this alternate route to receiving teaching certification because of the classroom experience it provided me.
