Since my days as a graduate student, I love to learn, as both student and teacher. As teacher, I've taught Humanities at the Junior College level, teaching Fine Arts, Music, English literature and Philosophy. I've taught students to make connections, relationships, between what they see and hear. Sight and Sound, then, allow them to develop their thinking in ways that isolated thought or thought patterns preclude. I've learned the Humanities are wonderful resources for thinking, as they for developing 'intuitive imagination.' In addition to classroom teaching, I've tutored students in their homes, in environments that support love and freedom, using Calvert's Home School Program. I've developed tutorial pilot programs for the US Army, developing recruits mastery of High School Math and English skills. I love writing, research.

A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching and showing are synonymous and in some languages it is the same word. I am not an instructor. As a teacher & educator my principal aim is to clarify objectives and show the student (client) how s/he can reach her/his goals. I facilitate the process profesionally as well as wholeheartedly. From a personal perspective, I feel good about what I do ONLY when it is validated by the student's satisfaction.
Due to my extensive background in languages & cultures, I have been able to address individual learning and studying needs quickly, effectively, and definitively. As a multicultural linguist in the field of education, I have been on the forefront of curriculum design and I have presented at five TESOL conferences. Furthermore, my deep-structural understanding of a language's grammar allows me to analyze linguistic needs and perspectives inductively.
