I teach in a laid-back, natural method. We like to have fun! I respect all talented, dedicated & accomplished classical musicians and anyone who reads musical notation. I don't teach sheet music or following musical pieces along as if you were reading instructions. I prefer to get blossoming musicians in touch with the natural way to enjoy music and express themselves. I believe that the best way to make sure somebody remembers something is to have them discover it for themselves. My teaching style is centered around this. I enjoy asking guiding questions to point a student in the right direction, and filling in the blanks afterward. I believe the ultimate role of a teacher is to help the student better themselves, and that the best way to do this is through instruction with positive reinforcement instead of direct criticisms, and through finding the right way to motivate the student as an individual.
