I am very passionate about educating others and have used my two Education degrees (Bachelor’s and Master’s) to work with students of all levels, especially in math. In my three years of full-time teaching experience, I have taught 6th grade math, 8th grade math, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-calculus, Trigonometry, and AP Calculus. Additionally, I have two years of experience tutoring elementary students in reading and writing, as well as volunteering many hours to help run educational programs for elementary through college age students.
I absolutely love teaching and especially enjoy working with upper level students, although I love working with children as well. I believe every student has been given unique gifts and talents, but needs others to help them discover those abilities. A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching is a very rewarding experience. I especially like to see when my students progress to a higher level. I believe all children can learn but they often have different learning styles. As a teacher, I varied my teaching style to match a student's learning style. I like to do discovery labs and give the students a little information about the lab and they would create the lab. Students are very creative when given the opportunity and motivation to be creative. At the end of a class, I would like my students as they leave the classroom to think that they learned something new and also had fun.
A graduate from Centenary College of La with a BS degree in Geology and a former petroleum geologist indicates I am not immune to working hard.
