I have been teaching since 2001 and have a true passion for teaching. I have worked as both a special ED and general education teacher. My students range from kindergarden through high school. I am a Virginia state certified teacher who holds a Master's in special education. I have taught in both the public and private school sector. I am currently attending West Virginia University to attain my Masters Degree in Human Nutrition. I have an undergraduate degree in physics (B.S.) and graduate degree in electrical engineering (M.S.). I have tutored in physics, chemistry and math before while in school. I have been able to start outreach programs with peers to help kids in under-served areas of Washington DC teaching physics through use of music. I have also participated in Johns Hopkins CTY summer youth program tutoring top percentage of high school students around the country and Central America in biomedical sciences. With all of my experience and education, I have had the opportunity to work with all facets of children; from those who require a great deal of help, to those who might just need a little more challenge then what their work was providing them.
