I stumbled upon the joy of teaching as I helped others learn to dive recreationally in my early 20’s. When I began my real estate career, I worked primarily with first time home buyers, whom I educated constantly. With the housing market collapse my desire to instruct in this manner grew as I segued into the insurance industry, and was given an opportunity to open a branch office and personally train over 50 agents in a one on one capacity over the course of two years. While planning for a career in medicine, I obtained a BS in biology with a minor in Chemistry. During the application and acceptance process I was an adjunct faculty member at a local technical college. My courses taught were remedial Algebra, biology, and anatomy and physiology.
