I'm a native speaker and have 6 years Language teaching experience. Most of my students are younger learners between the ages of 4 and 12, but I do have some experience with older students. I do offer a free 30 minute trial class for those who are interested in my services. I believe that motivated students will learn better than bored students, especially at the younger ages. If students are interested in the class and are payinng attention then they will get more out of the class. With this in mind I try integrate vocabulary and grammar lessons in with games and activities so that the children don't realize that they are actually learning. I also believe that comprehensible input is very important. Students need the opportunity to hear a native speaker producing the target language in a manner that they can understand, only then can they make advances in their language skills. T

I am more experienced with kids ages 12-18 but am able and willing to help learners of all ages! I served for two years in Taiwan as an LDS missionary and grew to love the Chinese people and language. I am currently continuing to develop my Mandarin Chinese language skills at BYU.
