My classroom setting is focused on the student and their needs. I heavily rely on repetition and object lessons to aid the students in comprehension and application. Depending on the age group, the beginning of my class (10 minutes) will require some exercise and/or Stretch and Flex routines to aid the student in concentration, the next session will be review, and the last session will be new material. Then the lesson style can be geared to that, while leading the student to become more aware of the other abilities and options. Also, it is imperative that students understand why they are learning what is being presented to them. Cause and effect leads to greater awareness and more objective, analytical, and critical thinking.
