In attending the University of Nevada, Reno, I was introduced to and involved with several programs working with youth. I was a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) working with children who were removed from their home for various reasons. (Parents were usually abusive). I also tutored Autistic children in the Early Childhood Autism program at UNR for almost two years. This program has offered me unique training and qualifications for tutoring youth, not just Autistic children.
