I am an Electrical engineer currently working for IBM as a logic design engineer. I have been tutoring students for past 10 years. My tutoring style focuses on understanding concepts, not simply getting the right answers. This emphasis improves retention and helps students apply their knowledge to new problems. I teach a variety of memorization techniques, but if the student understands a process or formula, memorization is often unnecessary. In high school I worked closely with non-English speakers. I tutored them in the subject of reading and writing English. I have also helped tutor in a a college setting. I helped tutor composition students with English being their second language.
