I attended Middle Tennessee State University from spring 1993-fall 1997, graduating in Dec. 1997 (B.S. degree). My major is art educ., my minor is secondary educ. My teaching license was in art educ./K-12. I was a member of The Gamma Beta Phi Society, the top 15% of my class. My gpa was 3.2 and I won two scholarships. I did my student teaching at the Lebanon High and at the Las Cassas Elementary Schools in fall 1997. I taught art at Mt. Juliet Elementary School, and taught private adult & children’s art classes at An Invitation to the Dance studio in Murfreesboro and at the Murfreesboro Art League. While in college, I earned a BS degree in Education with minors in Science and Biology. I have taught for 15 years in inner city St. Louis, MO, 5 years at Job Corps in Kentucky, and 3 years in alternative schools in Kentucky. I presently teach students, grades 7-12 in an Ombudsman Alternate School in Nashville, TN. I have experience in tutoring students in the areas of science, mathematics, biology, and history.
I enjoy teaching and working with students. I believe all children can learn according to their individual learning styles.
