A Little Bit About Me...

I go through all the concepts with the individual pertaining to what portion of statistics they are studying at that time. I will then walk them through a couple of examples demonstrating how to properly obtain the correct answer. I will follow that up by asking them to do a problem without any direct instruction from me. I will watch them work on the problem to assure they are working on it properly. If any mistakes are made I will politely point them out as the individual is working. Finally, I will ask them to work on problems completely on their own and I will check their answers when they are done. I feel the only way to learn statistics, or any math for that matter, is through repetition and working on a lot of problems.

Accounting is a very difficult concept for people to understand and I enjoyed working with them one on one to help them get through this course. Accounting is important to understand as it could help the individual out in their personal finances as well. I graduated from UW-Madison with a BS in Dietetics. In order to obtain this degree, I had to take a wide variety of Science courses including: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, and many others. Not only am I well versed in Science, I have a background in Math too. In highschool, I completed the AP-Caluculus course with a score that allowed me to bypass any college math courses. However, I have refreshed my math skills since I recently took the Graduate Requisite Exam (GRE) and received high scores in the math section.
