Students need confidence not only in their instructor’s mastery of the subject matter, but also in their own ability to gain their own such master. While completing my BS in engineering, I spent two years tutoring math, physics, and optics. During my senior year I was also able to teach a portion of two terms of the freshman optics class. During the last four years I have worked as an aerospace engineer, and as a private contractor.
