GED is one of my top subjects! I have over 2 years of experience in teaching GED level classes. I have worked with adults of all ages and have taught students who were able to obtain there GED. My experience as an instructor was with Wiregrass Technical College (formerly Valdosta Technical College).

I have previously worked for an in-home tutoring service where I helped students improve their grades in various subject areas that presented difficulty. The students I have tutored in the past were either in middle or high school. I also have experience as a GED instructor, and one of the best feelings in the world is helping someone receive their GED. I have worked with students that were not as enthusiastic to see me as I was to tutor or teach. Sometimes the students were not very motivated, but our goal was to increase productivity and grades. My teaching style is based on the student’s learning style. Each child is different and may require different teaching methods to facilitate learning. Some children are more visual and may require more interactive exercises to learn. I do not believe in spoon-feeding information to children but taking the time to ensure that they fully grasped the concept of a problem and are able to think through a solution on their own. I will work to develop their critical thinking skills and will challenge them, so that they are not just passive learners but active participants in the cognitive process.
