Although the core principals that I tutor with remain the same, I always prefer to get to know the individual I am helping. Without that basis and relationship to work off of, to become their friend, it is considerably more challenging to assist the learner. Beyond that, I make it my goal to do everything I can to visualize their situation and work with them to create an approach that is comfortable and effective for us both. With patience, empathy and a listening ear, I work with the learner to make the sessions both beneficial and enjoyable.
