My comments on tutoring GRE : I have taught GRE preparation for Kaplan for several years.

As an engineer and I have taught planners and engineers how to use software to do calculations. I have taught GRE preparation for Kaplan (analytical and verbal reasoning) both to small classes of 3 to 7 students and individual tutoring. In 2009, I was accepted into the Educators of Change program by the Duval County School Board. I am now a certified teacher in Mathematics and Physics (grades 9-12). I have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a master’s in Public Administration. My comments on tutoring GRE : I did extensive studying and preparation for my gre and scored over a 312 with my combined scores.

I graduated from Berry College in May of 2021. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Science with Honors. My major was Animal Science with a minor in chemistry. I have worked on several research projects that are in the process of publication or being prepared for publication. I never made anything below an A on my physics and chemistry classes. My specialty is in animal science, chemistry, and physics. However, I can teach lower to middle level mathematics. I am currently enrolled as a first year veterinary student at the University of Florida.

My comments on tutoring GRE : Just before graduating college, I heard about the Graduate Record Examination. The GRE is essentially a large-scale SAT that takes a more comprehensive look at the student's understanding of math and language. In short, is the academic "follow up" exam to the SAT. I studied hard for the GRE, and had help from a tutor who showed me (more than anything else) what to expect. I barely studied the material that would be on the exam, and instead focused on the strategies that helped me maximize my time and minimize incorrect answers. However, both facets of this exam are important to practice in, and as such I offer my expertise on the matter. On my first attempt at the exam, I scored well within the top quartile of all test-takers nationwide.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a former probation officer in both the juvenile and adult population, I have worked on numerous community service projects and helped teach at risk youth life skills as well as assisting in acedemics. Additionally, I hold two degrees which has challanged me in the areas of reading and math. During this past year, I have tutored students from K-6 in the both reading and math. In addition, I have two boys of my own whom I continue to teach and monitor their progress.
Teaching style depends on the student. Establishing rapport at the beginning of the sessions and taking the time to talk to each student one on one will set a good foundation for learning.
