I have been writing for my whole life, and have a love of the art that is description. Since Mich of humanity's understanding is based on metaphor, description and its subtleties is a key part of any writing process, be it creative or instructional.My favorite form of writing is creative, however I also enjoy writing essays and other pieces based on fact. No matter what form of writing you endeavor to do, getting your point across through description is paramount. I have placed and won poetry contests, and have written many essays of undergraduate and graduate levels.

Love Teaching

Have a secondary education degree from Jacksonville State University. I have tutored before and have had several substitute jobs. As a recent graduate, I have learned the importance of education. I have earned a Bachelor of Science with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. During graduate school, I was a substitute teacher, taught a teaching writing practicum at UAB, and was a reading tutor. I was a student teacher for 8th grade language arts, and then I was a real teacher for 6th grade English. I have taken 18 hours of graduate level English classes, and this is more than is required to earn a Master's degree in secondary English education. I also have a bachelor's degree in psychology from Samford University, and my background in psychology is also useful as I help students learn.
I think differentiated instruction is the best way to teach. This essentially means changing up the instruction in an effort to allow all students to learn.
