A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent graduate from Miami University. I have a degree in Adolescent/Young Adult Social Studies Education and my teaching certification is currently pending. I have over 60 credit hours completed towards a degree in music. My focus as a music student was voice, but I also spent a lot of time studying African American music. Prior to college, I spent 7 years as a percussionist. Combining many of my experiences was time spent in Miami's Urban Teaching Cohort. This helps the student to feel comfortable so they can ask questions, even those they may feel to be stupid. I have been able to teach non-technical elderly adults computers and teens that had no interest in religion by creating a relaxed atmosphere and attempting to make the subjects interesting, relevant and fun.
