My teaching style is very structured and organized. I teach with the style that every child is unique and learns at their own style and pace. I do not believe in rushing learning nor that every skill, style, environment or learning setting works for every student. My teaching style also mirrors the idea that children learn through hands on, interactive, tactile, and motivating experiences, resources and materials. Most of all, my style of teaching is based upon tapping into each child's own interest or interests that academics can be related and taught through.

A Little Bit About Me...

Growing up I dealt with dyslexia. I understand that each and every kid has a different learning style and not one style is better then the rest. My goal is to make learning as much fun as possible by pin-pointing the learning style of the student and finding ways to make learning more interesting. My most important goal is to teach children that everyone has the skills to excel and that learning can be fun. More importantly, I want children to understand that though their learning style may be different from his/her classmates it does not make them any less smart.
Last May I graduated from Skidmore College with a degree in history. My passion for history has been driven by my voracious appetite for knowledge.
