A Little Bit About Me...

Generally in my experience I have a higher level of understanding of basic principles than my peers. This puts me in a position of frequently helping others understand subtleties of the material. There are many different ways of understanding any one concept, it is just a matter of finding one that relates to the particular student's experience or thought process. I simply try to find a way for the student to understand the material, and clarify any of the questions they may have.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a recent student, I am very familiar with what it feels like to be in the position a lot of the students are in right now. At the same time, I understand the best method about how to approach understanding the material in the easiest manner possible. The key is patience and practice. I firmly believe the best way to teach is to attempt many examples, rather than strictly lecture. If a student can see the pattern inherent in many of these problems, it makes understanding the initial concepts much easier. I try to highlight a students strengths and build solid study habits and work patterns. For instance, if a student has trouble focusing on his/her work, I try to push them for short periods of intense study, and then reward them with a break. Since my first degree was completed through an integrated, online program, I stress organizational skills.
