My comments on tutoring Spanish : I can read, write, and speak Spanish very well. My weakness in this area is reading, but I do read a lot in this language to keep in practice. Once I know how to pronounce the words, and once I learn the meanings of the words I read, I can teach them to my students, too
I have eight years experience tutoring subjects like Basic Math, Basic Reading, Grammar, English 250, English 260, and English 270 at Shasta College. I also tutored subjects such as Keyboarding I and Keyboarding II, which is Typing I and Typing II on a computer; Machine Calculations, Business English, Business Communications, English as a Second Language, and Excel. In the eight years I tutored at Shasta College, these are the subjects I tutored and loved to see the success of my students after I helped them.
I teach everyone slowly and by going over the subject over and over again until it is understood. I am a very patient tutor and am good at what I do. I try to think of ways that would be easy for my students to understand. I can even work with Special Education students. My son was in Special Education all through grammar and high school, so I understand their needs.
