I was at the ITT Nashville and Draughons College campuses for 9+ years and School Chair of the CAD/MM department at ITT for 3 of those years. I have taught multiple subjects during my tenure including almost all of the classes in GenEd and in math, physics, calculus. I am currently pursuing my Master's of Science at UTMartin in MSEd in Theory and Practice and finish next year. My 15+ years in engineering, B.S. in Physics, qualifies me. I emphasize the learning of concepts and understanding to the extent that the student is able to teach them back to me as a validation to themselves that they have grasped the idea of the moment. Learning is progressive. Each student has his own point of understanding of a concept and all future concepts are built upon the previous one(s). Once the student understands that he knows more that he thought, the previously overwhelming challenge is disarmed by newfound confidence.
