My teaching style is to first evaluate the extent of the student's knowledge in the specific subject area and then start from the beginning and brush up, filling the gaps in knowledge. I work quite well with non-traditional learners and use props when I need to. Sometimes I find that this is the best approach for visual learners. I received an associate's degree in accounting and I am currently enrolled at Kaplan University in the Health Sciences program. I also home schooled both my children from the time they were in grade school until they received their high school GEDs from a local community college. I always believed that all the children are smart and can learn difficult things.
