I recently graduated the University of Nevada, Reno with a degree in Secondary Math Eduation. I just completed my semester of internship in high school mathematics. My position was as a long-term sub, which means that I was in full control of my students and my classroom without another teacher. Basically acting as a teacher while also doing my internship. As part of the job I was also responsible for tutoring my own students, as well as students from other classrooms.
I like teaching by giving real life examples and creating hands-on situations. One of the most beneficial things that I have found in helping students is to give a variety of examples and offer different ways of explaining things.
