I recently graduated the University of Nevada, Reno with a degree in Secondary Math Eduation. I just completed my semester of internship in high school mathematics. My position was as a long-term sub, which means that I was in full control of my students and my classroom without another teacher. Basically acting as a teacher while also doing my internship. The setting as a Sunday school teacher is different than the usual classroom experience. However, the parents and elders expect results and it is very satisfying to see the children respond with good answers and, especially, with good questions for me. I have learned so very much from my students. I have taught and encouraged little ones from toddlers to 12 years of age, both boys and girls. My tutoring experience has been limited but not through lack of trying. I tutored one high school youth in algebra and geometry. He did well and passed his class.
