I have taught in many areas of study. Since I was young, I taught my younger family members the importance of manners, honesty, care, and responsibility. I believe this has carried into my real-life career as a teacher. I have taught at schools such as Hope Hall in Rochester, NY and Lemoyne Elementary in Syracuse, NY. There I helped my students with their basic subject courses during their class time period. While working on my associates degree I tutored pre-calculus and statistics. I also worked briefly with catholic charities tutoring all subjects for high school students in need. I then completed my bachelors degree while tutoring part time at SUNY Oswego and independently with a high school student in Math and AP physics. I am currently working with that same H.S. student and now I am also working with a third grade student as well (also in math).

All children and adolescents can successfully acquire and process new information. Many students encounter difficulty learning in a traditional school setting because the large class sizes do not afford the teacher the time to learn about each individual and attend to his or her specific needs.
