Materials include soil, asphalt, concrete, masonry, fire proofing, water proofing, steel, and wood construction. This engineer in training licensced in the state of Connecticut has a strong interest on Green building and design, with a concentration on rehabilitation and historic preservation. Therefore with most experience in buildings and structures, make it a point to be environmentally friendly. This engineer has ten plus years of design experience along with practical field experience. Currently acquiring ICC International code council certifications and preparing for professional licenscure. Actively searching for a school to acquire a masters degree in structural engineering. A Little Bit About Me...

Personally, I have seen (and experienced myself) the benefits of students learning underlying principles of math material via hands on, sequential learning processes. It is of the utmost importance that a student understands the separate components of a theory or process in order to comprehend the larger picture. Therefore, I believe rote learning seriously prohibits true understanding for many students. Most students need to build the understanding by performing the work themselves beginning with the basic tenets of that theory or process.
I originally began my collegiate career with the aspirations of becoming a high school math teacher. I attended the University of Connecticut and earned a BA in Mathematics.
