I have a diverse field of experience. I received a dual B.A. in Linguistics and Anthropology in 2006. This allows me to understand language tutoring at a deeper level than most tutors. This foundation has been augmented by 5 years of teaching experience in ESOL, History, Academic Writing, and Professional interview training which I have conducted all over the world. In 2009, I received my MA in applied linguistics. This degree worked as a capstone to perfect my teaching style in regards to ESL.

A Little Bit About Me...

I possess a Bachelor of Arts degree and have been employed as a private tutor and as a substitute teacher. I am able to work with a wide variety of students. I have been employed with the Travis, Fairfield-Suisun, and Vacaville Unified School Districts. I have assisted students who were experiencing difficulty at the elementary school level with reading comprehension, decoding and phonetic skills. I have privately tutored students who were considered "at risk" students and helped them elevate their reading and math scores. I have a BS in Business and have worked in Mortgage and Banking for many years. This industry requires excellent written communication skills as well as practical math skills. I have been a substitute teacher for grades K - 12 for the past year in all subjects and have C-Best Certification. I am very familiar with the curriculum and I have an excellent rapport with students.
