I have always been an honors student and am currently taking the highest levels of math (AP Calculus) and spanish (Spanish 5) at my high school. I am involved in Peer Mentors at my school and have tutored multiple students in a variety of subjects. I have also tutored students outside of school, mostly in math. Physics and Mathematics Tutor

I gained my first tutoring experience by explaining difficult concepts to classmates that were struggling. I have been a tutor on WyzAnt for about half a year now. I have tutored math and physics students both at the high school and college level. All of the students that I worked with rated my lessons positively.
From my tutoring experience I have noticed that most students who have trouble understanding a difficult concept do so because they did not understand a more basic prerequisite concept, so I try to help students "fill in the gaps." I have six children of my own and know that every child learns differently, even when they come from the same family. I believe the majority of children can master the material they are presented in school, but it is a matter of time. Many children take a little more time to understand the concepts and master the skills needed to move on to the next level.
