As a music graduate of Morehead State University, I was very much driven to achieve a level of excellence in education. I earned my BS is Music Education and have completed additional coursework required for re-certification. I have substiute taught many classes and did a long term position teaching 6th grade science. While teaching music for three years, I also worked as a tutor for Sylvan, where I gained tutoring skills. I also privately tutored in my home in the subject of math.

My passion in life is to work with children. I love helping children learn and to see the "light bulb" go off in their head. I have taught 1st-4th grades, and tutored in elementary. I also minored in piano. I have given private piano lessons and done one-on-one tutoring with children and adults. I have a B.A. degree,a minor in Sociology and piano. I have many years of volunteering with children and adults. I enjoy working with children and beginners in both areas.
