A Little Bit About Me...

I have always had an interest in tutoring, starting in Elementary school where I would leave during recess in the fourth and fifth grade to spend time in my past Kindergarten teacher's classroom. There I would read to students, reinforce the teachings lead by the teacher, and serve as a role model. During my middle school summers I would return to that classroom to provide aid for the summer school kindergarteners before they were able to enter the first grade. Upon entry into high school, I joined Project Understanding, a tutoring volunteer organization to serve children from low-income families who were falling behind in a classroom setting and needed some extra time and a different perspective to learn the material expected of them. My comments on tutoring Creative Arts : I'm will be teaching you GRAPHIC DESIGN. You will be learning how to use InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator design programs. You will learn how to create business cards, flyers, brochures, posters, display graphics, newsletters, invitations and how to lay out a magazine and multi-fold inserts, among other new abilities. You will also learn photo retouching, color correction and using the many "effects" in Photoshop to create outstanding artwork. You will also learn logo design and development using Illustrator.

I have been a graphic designer for over 30 years.
