Teaching to me is a vocation and not just a job. I enjoy helping children achieve their peek potential in the subject matter at hand. As a MBA graduate, I was in determined to gain a higher level of education. While in grad school I tutored several classmates in various courses. I conducted and lead several study sessions. Reflecting back on the years when I attended high school, I struggled with math. Once I was accepted to NC A&T, I realized that I had developed a fear of math and did not understand basic algebraic concepts. After being assigned a peer tutor as a freshman, I overcame my fear of math. Due to his mentoring I was successful at conquering math concepts and performed well in all other academic courses. I have recently graduated from Virginia Tech where I majored in Biological Sciences. This included biology, physics, and chemistry as focus points. My tutoring experience has been volunteer work.
