From the time they first set foot in kindergarten, through high school, I regularly volunteered, supporting their and the schools’ needs. I assisted in the classroom, chaperoned field trips, dances, etc., planned and participated at parties, special events and any role that could make a small difference. I am especially sensitive to the needs of students with disabilities, particularly those with ADD or similar issues. The opportunity to teach is really the opportunity to work with kids to make them stronger academically. I enjoy stretching a students learning abilities to levels that they are not aware they have. While attending UW-Whitewater I completed my Observation and Participation at Golda Meir in Milwaukee for 4th grade, completed my Field Study at Palmyra-Eagle High School for grades 9-12, and have just completed my Student Teaching at BlackHawk Middle School on Madison's East Side for 8th grade.
