The vast majority of my experience has been obtained throughout my time in college and my willingness to help fellow students and/or friends in a variety of studies. My studies throughout college primarily consist of the sciences, including chemistry, biology, and physics. My willingness to help others is where my want to tutor stems from.

When getting my Bachelor's degree, English was my chosen major. I chose the subject because I love to read and write, and excel at both of those things. In high school and college, I tutored middle and high school - aged children. I was able to find and help those kids because my parents were teachers; thus, so were their friends who needed tutors. Through experience and research, I have developed a tutoring style that has helped countless students achieve unmeasured success. My students usually respond very well to my standard explanation of the procedure for solving algebra equations, as well as other math concepts, such as logarithms, trigonometry, and derivatives. On occasions when my students do not quite understand my standard explanations, I will explain the concept in a different way until the student understands. A Little Bit About Me...

I worked for 16 years as a high school science and math instructor at a small school which necessitated that I teach all the courses in the 9-12 curriculum in rotation. These courses included all levels of mathematics, biology, chemistry and physics. I qualified to teach AP courses and wrote a number of integrated curriculum for my school district. I also tutor in the school's tutoring center because many of the students need the additional assistance.
I would describe my teaching style as being essentially constructivist.
