Hearing Impaired is one of my top subjects! I am a teacher for the Deaf for sevral years in the East and moved here 7 years ago and I am teaching at school for the Deaf.

I started my teaching experience when I got a job as a subsitute teacher at school for the Deaf in Ontario, Canada. I loved it so much and I went to university to get my degree in Criminology and Sociology and got masters in Deaf Education and Recreation. I used to be a subsitute teacher at Model Secondary School for the Deaf in Washington, D.C. and got a job as a teacher at Maryland School for the Deaf. I moved here 7 years ago and work here at California School for the Deaf as a teacher. ASL Teaching experience: I taught ASL at McDaniel College for a semester. I started to teach ASL at Ohlone College (high school course) for 3 years and Stanford University for a year, and College of San Mateo. ASL I and II. Also, I have been doing a lot of tutor sessions for individuals who are taking ASL III or higher and Interpreter Preparation Program.

I started my studies at Gallaudet University, my side job was a sub teacher at Model Secondary School for the Deaf and Kendall Demonistration Education School for couple of years. During my graduate studies, I was an educational assistant for English Language Institute at Gallaudet and part time rock climbing staff at Physical Education & Recreation department. When I am studying my 2nd masters, I was a Residental Educator of American Sign Language House for 1 year and taught ASL 1 for one semester. My teaching style depends on the needs of the particular students. I assess the style needed for a particular lesson and use visuals, such as PowerPoint presentations, textbooks, as well as audio, with such tools as are available after individual assessments. Even before I went to college and earned my B.A., I had already taught two years of ESL in Kachin State, Burma.
