A Little Bit About Me...

As a motivated person, I attended UNCG as an undergraduate and graduate student while working full time. I have received both a BS and MS in Biochemistry. During my undergraduate years, I worked as an assistant in multiple lab courses. Throughout graduate school, I have taught Gen. Chem. Lab courses, which are taught in a lecture and lab setting. In both 2008 and 2009, I received awards for Outstanding Teaching based on student evaluations. I find that positive reinforcement of previously acquired skills encourages further learning. I also use creative everyday examples to help students understand topics better. For example, to help a child enhance their reading and math skills I’ll use a cooking activity.
