A Little Bit About Me...

I have served moderate and low income students through AmeriCorps. My duties included running the after-school program in addition to helping student with their homework. I have also managed a multi-state campaign, and served as Vice President of an organization representing nearly 10,000 graduate/professional students.
I am hands-on and usually try to relate the material to the students in fun/meaning ways. I feel that education is key to a successful working career. If students need help with a subject, then I am more than willing to help - either through students seeking me out or analyzing their work for areas that need additional attention.

A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated high school in 2003 as the valedictorian of my class. I maintained my high level of academics in college but didn't know what I wanted to do for a career. I graduated in 2007 with my business degree and moved to NC. I worked for a mental health agency helping children in broken homes with school work and being a positive male role model as well as taking pre reqs to return to school for my masters degree in physical therapy. I am currently in my 2nd year of PT school and have always helped others learn throughout my life.

First and foremost, I love working with students. I believe all students have an ability to learn once you find the way to connect with them. I think the key is in finding that particular connection because each student is gifted in his or her own special way. All people learn differently, and I approach teaching with this understanding and appreciation of the differences in all students and their backgrounds.
