A Little Bit About Me...

I obtained my Associates of Science Degree in Biology at Macon State College completing courses in Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Calculus. I then completed my Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology at Valdosta State University. At Valdosta State University, I completed courses such Microbiology, Molecular Genetics of DNA, Animal Physiology, Protein Biochemistry, and Statistics. With these courses came laboratory experience which has allowed me to strengthen my skills in writing laboratory reports. I also have experience in writing essays and research papers. I have tutored and mentored students in middle school and high school science and mathematics.

I have been driven to excel in college and in my career in logistics. I've graduated from two of the top universities in the US, and retired from the USAF as a Major. I'm also a graduate of Air War College. I've traveled the world as an instructor navigator and defense contractor, learning about many cultures and religions. In addition to Spanish, I also speak Turkish. I also owned my own logistics services business, winning a contract with the USAF.
My technique in teaching navigation was to expose the student to the underlying physics of dead reaconing and celestial object movement. Then we would put the theory into practice in the air. I strove to always give positive feedback and encouragement.

A Little Bit About Me...

My first language is Spanish, my second language is English. I grew up in Ecuador for 28 years and when I got married, I moved to the States. I majored in Special Education while in my home country and Special Education became my profession. When I came to the states I realised I had to take the GACE exam in order to be a teacher here along with SPANISH test, so I did exactly that and became a teacher in Peach County teaching Spanish I and II. I have been teaching Spanish for 3 years. I am also teaching my own kids Spanish as their second language.
I love to see kids learning a second language. I realise today in the states there is such much more job opporuntities when you have a second language.
