My comments on tutoring Anatomy : Do not be afraid of this subject area. It is an amazing skill to have to be able to identify the human body;

I am passionate about teaching and spend most of my free time, creating curriculum that will excite and engage my students. I firmly believe that it is my responsibility to identify the strength of my students, as well as make them unafraid of their weaknesses. Only then, can a student and teacher begin a successful, working relationship. Student AND teacher must work at using all of our minds as much as we can. It is vital to become familiar with the way we think, especially our weak areas. Facing those and forging new pathways in the brain should be the goal of all of us.

I prefer to approach every student very slowly in the beginning to understand exactly where their trouble are. Listening is the most important attribute that a tutor can have followed by patience. It's my job to identify where the student's problem are and address those problems. My experience has tought me that most people just need a new perspective to understand certain materials at hand. During high school I attended a special program, Health and Medical Occupations Academy, developed for students who wanted a career in the medial field. My high school classes were oriented towards the medical profession. In addition I was required to take anatomy/ physiology, biology, and several nursing classes. I am currently a 2 year medical student. Before entering medical school I worked voluntarily for an orphanage in Mexico. During my time at the orphanage (about 4 years) I participated in tutoring the children, of all ages, with school work and English.
I have worked with small children to adults, teaching English and school subjects. I work best with pre-teens- adults, however have no problem teaching small children. Tutoring is important for me because many times during my educational career I have needed tutoring myself, in regards to language barriers.
