My teaching style is a combination of the Demonstrator Model and the Facilatative Model. I start with establishing a logical prototype for how to think and approach problems, then I oversee, guide and direct by showing how to do things. Once the student has a basis of understanding, (s)he is encouraged to emulate my approach. I then move into the facilitative style and focus on guiding and directing by asking questions, exploring options, suggesting alternatives and encouraging growth and development of criteria to make informed choices. A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and working with children. I have worked as a gymnastics coach, camp counselor, and birthday party hostess over the years. Particularly, I enjoy coaching and empowering students to achieve the "impossible." I truly believe that to be an excellent teacher you must not only present the technical knowledge in a tangible form, but you must also inspire individuals to want to achieve.
