After many years in the customer service industry; I returned back to school to acquire my Bachelors Degree in Human Services/Management. Throughout the past 10 years I have been a volunteer with the Child Crisis Center in Mesa, Arizona. My duties there include mentoring, monitoring children ranging from infancy to twelve years of age. Due to my customer service background I have excellent communication skills. My education with The University of Phoenix has left me with a wealth of academic achievements. I enjoy working with children of all ages. I feel my career in social work has allowed me to become more centered on compassion as a means of education, and engaging the child in the learning process while being compassionate. Children typically learn best when in a positive, comfortable situation. I would like them to feel comfortable enough to feel like they can be their best around me. I also believe that by establishing a solid set of study skills while catering to individual techniques of the student, the learning process can grow and thrive. Therefore, I would combine my training in theatre and performance to make learning an enjoyable process.
