I love teaching and helping others, especially children. I believe that there are "no stupid questions" and that all children can learn. I thoroughly enjoy teaching students at various ages and stages of development. I consider myself to be very creative, and I try to give the students as much hands-on experience as possible. I am constantly seeking feedback from the student in terms of how well I am presenting the subject matter, so my methods of teaching will vary. I am always open to new ideas. Failure is not a word in my teaching vocabulary. I will always find a way to reach and teach my student in such a way that learning and application are maximized.
After graduating from Virginia Tech in 1973, I decided that I would enter the field of public education.
