I have worked in the field of School Psychology for public schools in the state of Virginia. Most of my experience has been in rural areas where many different types of needs had to be handled by the Psychologist. Thus, I have had broad experience and training in the area of Special Education. I also worked in private practice and with other professionals which further broadened my skills. I retired in 2009 and moved to Tennessee to care for a family member. I miss contact with students, and feel I can help children who are struggling with school. I am currently a student at the university of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where I am majoring in early childhood education with a minor in speech pathology. I am working full time as the head aftercare teacher at hickory valley Christian school where I work with elementary school children. I have much experience in teaching, I am also a current tutor with the Honors program, working with four students ranging from 5th grade to freshman in college.
